Our Mission
Through collaborative leadership and inclusive practices, the Santa Barbara County SELPA ensures equitable access to high-quality special education services for students with disabilities from birth to age 22. We support local educational agencies, community partners, and families, by providing expert guidance, resources, and professional development to promote student success and lifelong learning.
Our Vision
We envision a county where every student with a disability is empowered to reach their full potential through inclusive, innovative, and individualized educational experiences. By fostering strong partnerships with families, schools, and communities, SELPA leads efforts to create equitable systems that support academic, social-emotional, and post-secondary success for all learners.
