Local Plan
The Local Plan contains the elements required to be submitted to the California Department of Education.
The Policies and Procedures are specific JPA Board approved policies (“BP”) aligned with California Education Code and related procedures or Administrative Regulations (“AR”) that detail how we provide Special Education Services here in Santa Barbara County.

Santa Barbara County SELPA is currently conducting a comprehensive policy and procedure review and update process. As policies are approved, they will be reflected below in alphabetical order. At the conclusion of the review process, the policies will be categorized and numbered in alignment with California School Board Association (CSBA) policy numbering system.
